G1 Facility Services is a leading facility maintenance and construction provider, proudly serving customers nationally. With over two decades of experience in the maintenance and construction industries, we are seeking to welcome an Experienced Carpenter to join our dynamic Jamaica, NY & Newark, NJ team!

Job responsibilities including but are not limited to the following:

• 
  Perform carpentry services as needed
• Shaping and/or cutting materials to specific measurements, utilizing hand tools, machines, or power saws
• Install walls, floors, ceilings, and roofs using materials such as: wood, sheet rock, metal, concrete, plastics, and composites of multiple materials
• Fitting/Installing doors, door frames, hardware, window frame interiors and exterior trim using a carpenter’s level, plumb bob, and laser levels
• Building and/or repairing cabinets, doors, frameworks, floors, or other wooden fixtures used in buildings, utilizing woodworking machines, hand tools, or power tools
• Assemble and fasten materials, using hand/power tools with wood/concrete screws, nails, toggle bolts, plugs, etc.
• Determine the appropriate materials and supplies necessary for each step of a job
• Communicate with the field and management team to ensure timely project completion
• Follow blueprints and building plans to meet the needs of every client

• 
  Must be able to fasten/mount on any surface (wood, sheet rock, tile, marble, etc.)
  
  • Includes planning, drafting, ordering materials and closing out jobs
• Work with a team by providing instructions, directions, and support during a project
• Must have a valid U.S. Driver’s License
• Must possess 5+ years of carpentry experience.
• Must have a working knowledge of construction skilled trades
• Must present well and possess customer service skills.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Be able to work on lifts, scaffolding or ladders at heights greater than 20’
• Occasional travel required to work in other airports or customer bases projects across the United States
• Must be willing to work in a drug-free environment and able to pass a 10-year government background check.
• Must be willing and able to follow ALL safety precautions with appropriate PPE, follow company safety protocols, environmental, and OSHA safety best practices
