Facilities Position Description

Reports to: Venue Manager, Director of Operations

Shifts: Typically includes Saturdays, Sundays and some Holidays (varies upon Event Calendar)

Shift hours can vary, but typically average 9:30 am - 6 pm. Meal included.

Job Summary: To ensure furniture, equipment and facilities related items are in place according to event timeline and are kept organized, safe to others and free from damage; to deliver exceptional hospitality to clients, team and vendors alike.

List of primary responsibilities include (but not limited to):

• To set up furniture and facilities according to event Timeline and Layouts

• Participate in shift meeting with second facilities team member on day-of event to review Timeline; ask questions as needed
• Partner with Facilities Crew member to work together on major setups (Ballroom, Front Porch, Ceremony)

• Follow break schedule as listed on event timeline according to the California Break Law

• Break down ceremony space with team after Cocktail Hour

• Maintain equipment and furniture as needed

• Liaison with MLMC property representative

• Organize storage and common areas according to safety, efficiency and aesthetic
• Label shelving and boxes clearly in storage units
• Assist with bi-weekly propane pick-up (as needed)

• Communicate any damage to equipment and/or facilities in a timely manor

• Suggest new procedures to for efficiency and safety

• Ensure Dining room, Chair room and Treasure room are ‘stage ready’ for weekly tours

• Ensure furniture and facility is tidy, clean and presentable for weekly tours and events

• Engage with event planner and vendors in a professional and polite manner

• Conduct light maintenance as needed
• Take pride and ownership of facility

Required skills: Organization, time management, literate, attention to detail, self-motivated, prioritizing cleanliness, deadline driven, forward thinker, works well independently and with others, minimum 2 years hospitality experience, professional and positive communication skills, pleasant demeanor, must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, minimum 2 years heavy lifting experience.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
