About This Position
Transport materials to and from specified destinations on public streets or highways. Drive diesel powered tractor trailer combination to transport and deliver products or materials in liquid, loose, or packaged form.
- Home daily
- $21+/hr with OT available
- 50-60 hrs per week
- Minimum 1 year CDL experience
- Clean MVR
Responsibilities
- All employees have a responsibility to report food safety problems to personnel with authority to initiate action. All employees have a responsibility to act in a safe manner; all accidents or incidents must be reported to management immediately.
- Drive in a safe and efficient manner under all circumstances.
- Drives truck to destination to meet customer requirements
- Have knowledge of and compliance with company policy and all federal, state, local laws and regulations governing the operation of company equipment
- Inspects truck& trailer equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, fuel, oil, and water.
- Loads and unloads truck protecting the load and equipment.
- Maintains contact with supervisor to receive delivery instructions.
- Maintains driver log according to DOT regulations
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- Performs pre and post trip inspections. Inspects truck for defects before and after trips and submits report indicating truck condition.
- Positions blocks and secures cargo during transit.
- Prepares and submits daily paperwork that is legible.
- Prepares receipts for load picked up.
- Report all accidents or incidents immediately to the supervisor.
