Do you have at least 2 years of assisting experience?

We are looking for you. This full time position is approximately 38-40 hours/week including Sunday's. CLOSED EVERY SATURDAY!

We are a 2 doctor practice looking for an experienced veterinary assistant/technician to assist with the continued growth of our business.

Assistant/Technician to work in exam rooms, treatment/ICU area and surgery. Experience in all these areas and their associated technical skills are a must.

If you are a Registered or Licensed Vet Tech that is a plus however a very experienced Vet Assistant with the appropriate skill set will also be considered.

Depending on the applicant's qualifications, duties would include, but not be limited to the following:

Surgical assisting, prep, monitoring, and recovery

Dental cleanings, Digital x-rays,

Pulling blood, placement of IV catheters, setting up and monitoring IV pumps

Administering medications, running in-house diagnostics, reading slides

Digital x-rays, fill prescriptions,

Appointment rooms with doctors, obtain patient history,

Ability to confidently speak with clients

Able to implement humane, effective animal restraint.

Applicant must be a dependable, responsible team player who can communicate well with both co-workers and clients. Someone who can follow directions, pay attention to detail, prioritize the tasks at hand, and organize their time efficiently. Must possess a positive attitude and have lots of patience for pets and their owners.
