What You'll Do
Summary:
Works under the direct supervision of Manager of Hospitality House, with indirect supervision from Director of Volunteer & Auxiliary Service. The Family House Coordinator is responsible for coordinating all volunteer activities based at the facility and assisting HH Manager in the oversight of all day-to-day operations at HH. Acts for manager in his/her absence and shares emergency night/weekend coverage with manager.
Responsibilities:
1. Regularly performs the job duties of an NHRMC Volunteer Coordinator to include all aspects of volunteer management for the volunteer programs based at the facility. Responsible for volunteers including: recruiting, training, scheduling, compliance & recognition to assure a well-educated and prepared workforce. Maintains pertinent volunteer records in volunteer database.
2. Represents HH and maintains relationships with all community volunteer programs (schools, churches, businesses, etc). Assists students and interns with intake, training, scheduling and reporting hours to their superiors when requested.
3. Responsible for front desk coverage in the absence of a volunteer.
4. Assists manager with fulfilling guest accommodations, including; maintenance of room requests, waiting lists & data entry in web-based registration system.
5. Assists manager with financial procedures at the Hospitality House, including; guest payment collection, donations, daily cash reports, and drawer reconciliation.
6. Assists manager with day-to-day operations of HH, including; housekeeping, maintenance and guest relations.
7. Acts for manager in his/her absence.
8. Available by phone evenings & weekends to support HH staff. Shares responsibility for coverage with the Manager.
9. Provides manager with input for development of budgets and fund raising events.

High School Diploma
Other information:
1. Education: High School required, with at least 3 years experience in a health care, Hospitality House or volunteer management position. Bachelors degree preferred,
2. Licensure / Certifications: none
3. Experience: Minimum 3 years in health care, Hospitality House or volunteer management required. Experience in managing volunteers preferred.
Demonstrates standards of performance (ownership, teamwork, communication, compassion) that support patient satisfaction and principles of service excellence.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Individual will possess commensurate combination of education, experience and qualifications.
