You must bewilling to take a drug screen/criminal check in accordance with local laws/regulations.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Review approved plans and specifications and verify the classification of the soils at the building site, perform required soil tests, monitor site preparation, grading, and fill placement to verify compliance with plans and specifications.
- The special inspector is responsible for writing and submitting required reports, including reports of items that do not comply with the plans, to the building official, contractor, and/or registered design professionals.
- Implement Atlas’s health and safety policies and procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet organization and project objectives.
- Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds
Technical Requirements:
- Clear, detailed, well-organized technical writing
Other miscellaneous qualities:
- Troxler Training/OSHA Training is a plus
- Must be able and willing to work some weekends and occasional overtime
- Must have strong communications skills and be computer savvy –and able to add and use Apps on a smart phone or tablet
- Ability to write daily reports
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Must successfully complete background and motor vehicle record check
- Ability to follow Construction Site Safety Precautions
- Must be able and willing to work some weekends and occasional overtime

Physical Requirements:
- Use muscles to lift, push, pull, or carry heavy objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Wear common protective or safety equipment such as safety shoes, glasses, gloves and hard hats.
- Ability to stand or walk for long periods of time.
- Use hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
- Repeat the same movements over and over.
- Use stomach and lower back muscles to support the body for long periods without getting tired.
- React quickly using hands, fingers, or feet.
- Kneel, stoop, crouch, bend, twist or crawl.
- Keep or regain the body's balance or stay upright when in an unstable position.
- Ability to adapt to very hot and very cold outdoor weather conditions.
- Ability to walk around construction sites, climb ladders, platforms and carry test equipment
