Job Summary


We are actively hiring for a Field Quality Engineer to be responsible for providing department and customer support on quality assurance related issues and coordinating functions related to quality product concerns at customer sites, under general direction from the Quality Manager.


Responsibilities


  • Provide customer focused support, to include daily contact with the customer in order to investigate or coordinate quality problems or issues.
  • Assess and determine defective part containment, sorting, and repair to include, analyzing
  • corrective action.
  • Lead and coordinate quality functions regarding Quality Assurance visits with the customer and trial events at customer or related manufacturing locations.
  • Supervise and train any temporary personnel assigned to the facility for re-work, soring, or other Quality issues.
  • Responsible for processing and completing related documentation (IPP/IPPAR reports) for manufacturing plant, customer, or corporate office.
  • Provide technical knowledge with concepts, while assessing and determining operation requirements for process, product and/or manufacturing.
  • Support new Model Development, attend new model events at customer, work with program manager to ensure that all customer requirements are met and submitted in a timely manner.
  • Lead new model representation at customer for Quality and Engineering requirements, ensure that all relevant information is reviewed and submitted to customer.


Requirements


  • Associates degree or equivalent experience in Electrical or Mechanical engineering.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • One (1) year of wire harness experience, preferred.
  • Bilingual (English/Japanese) preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Motivated & detail oriented.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Availability to travel up to 25%, both domestic and internationally.
  • Must have flexibility to work non-standard work week when required.
  • Proficient using MS Office.
  • Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus
  • The position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 25 pounds.
