Job description

The Service Technician’s primary responsibility will be to identify the customer's main concerns and/or problems with their installed product and make repairs and adjustments as needed to correct any deficiencies using his/her own expertise. The Service Technician will work closely with the builders and the end-users and must possess good communication skills and be of good temperament. The Service Technician must embody the company’s commitment to excellence while representing the company in the field.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Make field repairs and or adjustments to damaged and/or incorrectly installed stone, quartz, marble, and solid surface countertops.
• Be able to repair scratches and chips in various natural stones, quartzes, man-made marble products, and solid surfaces.
• Be able to remove stains of various origins from various countertop materials.
• Be expected to be able to field polish various countertop materials to a final polish state.
• Be expected to make adjustments and/or repairs to seams in stone tops.
• Be expected to be able to make and/or modify holes in various types of countertops for sinks, appliances, faucets, accessories, electrical outlets, grommets, etc.
• Be able to troubleshoot problem installations and provide guidance/assistance as needed to installation crews who may be struggling with an installation.
• Be expected to be able to remove and replace sinks.
• Be skilled with a caulk gun and be able to remove old caulking and run a tight bead of sealant.
• Be expected to maintain a working knowledge of various types of polishers, polishes, poultices, sealers, agers, etc.

Be able to read, write, and speak English effectively, perform mathematical calculations, and generate accurate and professional documents. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook.

Ability to read and interpret manuals, schematics, and drawings

Be organized, highly detail-oriented, able to multitask, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, fluid environment

The position will require the following physical activities on a regular basis: Reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, bending, kneeling, seeing, hearing. The amount of weight required to be lifted will be over 100 pounds with assistance, up to 50 pounds without assistance. Work is done indoors in a non-temperature-controlled environment, as well as outdoors. The typical noise level for this job is loud to very loud. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is provided.

Drug screen and background check will be performed upon job offer.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $22.00 per hour
