Technical Support/Installation

Job Summary

Grasselli SSI is a leading supplier of food processing machinery to the Food/Meat/Poultry Industries. Due to continued growth we are looking to hire Field Service/Installation Technicians. This Field Service position is based out of our headquarters in Throop PA and offers a competitive salary, which includes base pay, travel incentives, generous weekend rates, bonus pay, comprehensive benefits, and vacation package. Training is given on an ongoing basis and may require foreign travel to our headquarters in Italy.

Responsibilities and Duties

Installation, troubleshooting and repair of industrial meat slicing/skinning equipment

Operator, maintenance, and sanitation personnel training in-house and at customer facilities

In-house and in-field demonstrations

Customer phone/email support including PLC, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting

Equipment pre-delivery preparation

Rebuilding, repair, and preventative maintenance of customer machines in-house and in the field

Building maintenance and general housekeeping duties

Qualifications and Skills

Associates degree, equivalent technical training, or appropriate hands-on experience

Significant, advanced experience in electrical troubleshooting, electronics, AC/DC drives and inverters, PLCs, and electro-mechanical systems

Experience in pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanical drive systems

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Self-motivated and willing to travel extensively throughout the continental United States, including weekends

Fluency in Spanish a plus but not mandatory

Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States and be able to obtain a passport

Candidates must be able to pass a pre-work physical and drug screen

Report to our Throop PA facility when not working at a customer location

Pay

Weekday pay up to $37.95 per hour

Weekend pay up to $75.90 per hour
