Designers Edge is seeking a Field Technician to provide photos and data collection for Fortune 1000 companies, enterprise architectural firms, large property management and construction companies throughout North America. The successful candidate will function independently in the field collecting data using laser scanners (Don't worry, we fully train you!), photographs, and completing Site Investigation Reports. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Field labor related to conducting various types of surveys using laser scanners (Don't worry, we will fully train you), Photography and site surveys form completion

• Accurately operate and adjust electronic distance measuring instruments with electronic data collecting capabilities.

• Ability to record data per client checklist and delivering the information in a timely manner to their supervisor.

• Ability to travel to multiple Cities throughout the week and be able to travel on demand

• Complete applicable Site Investigation Reports

• Prepare data, records, and documents related to site surveys

• Candidate must be able to travel to client sites and work overtime and weekends as required by the project.

COMPETENCIES/QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be able to work independently and without supervision

• Ability to follow directions, understand project scope, maintain project schedule, and complete designated work on time.

• Must be a quick learner with technical acumen

• Must be able to carry up to 30 lbs.

• Must be able to travel locally and stand or walk for prolonged periods of time.

• Must have a valid driver’s license and be eligible to work in the U.S.

• Must show attention to detail with ability to multitask, work efficiently, and work under pressure of deadlines.

• Must possess good communication and interpersonal skills

• Must be comfortable working with Microsoft Office.

• Attend 2 week training as scheduled.

• Experience with AutoCAD is a plus

• Proficient in construction methodology is a plus.

Physical Demands

• Candidate must be able to climb ladders up to 30 Feet, and have a comfort level on roofs.

• Candidate will travel with work equipment kit and must be able to carry 30 lbs.

• Candidate must be able to stand or walk for prolonged periods of time; ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, climb and lift.

• Be willing to work indoors and, outdoors and elevated areas, i.e. roofs, when safe and weather permitting.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Must have high school diploma.

• Must have Valid Drivers License

• Three years of related experience in Construction, Architecture, or Engineering preferred but not required. Previous experience

conducting surveys is a plus

• OSHA Certificate is a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $45.00 per hour
