Salary Range: $105,000 - $115,000

Who we are:

The International Foundation for Valuing Impacts (IFVI) is a newly formed organization building upon the work incubated at the Impact-Weighted Accounts project at Harvard Business School. Our mission is to drive the global integration of impacts in financial analysis to promote effective resource allocation and achieve long-term financial stability.

The role:

The Finance and Operations Manager will be integral to daily operations and will keep IFVI running smoothly. The Manager will be responsible for managing the financial and operational activities of the organization, and will be the primary point of contact for IFVI’s outsourced Accountant, Professional Services Organization, IT, and other critical service providers. The Manager will process payments to vendors and oversee grant management and reporting processes. They will serve as the internal hub for all employee inquiries and problem-solving related to payroll, benefits, expenses, technology, and office space.

What you’ll do

  • Manage day-to-day financial and operational activities of the organization
  • Liaise with service providers, including Professional Employment Organization, Accountant, Technology Services Administrator, Legal, and Co-Working Space
  • Manage payments to vendors and serve as first point of contact for inquiries
  • Serve as point of contact for employees for questions related to payroll, benefits, expenses, technology, and office space
  • Facilitate events and regular meetings, such as educational convenings and Board meetings
  • Support COO in development and regular updating of documentation regarding organization policies and procedures
  • Support COO to effectively manage hybrid team operations, including maintaining regular asynchronous communication channels and virtual collaboration tools
  • Work with Accountant to support preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual account reconciliations and financial reports
  • Work with COO and Accountant to maintain accurate and cost-effective budgeting and financial management systems
  • Liaise with Accountant and COO to ensure donor contributions are efficiently and accurately processed
  • Oversee grant reporting requirements and donor information requests in partnership with relevant team members
  • Utilize CRM to track donor engagement and acquisition of gifts
  • Work across teams at IFVI to develop and maintain deep understanding of the organization

What we are looking for:

  • 5-7 years of relevant professional experience
  • Demonstrated effectiveness managing financial performance in small business or nonprofit
  • Excellent project management skills with demonstrated success meeting targets with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including ability to communicate cross-functionally within an organization and maintain highly professional communication with external parties
  • Proven experience implementing organizational policies and procedures related to finance and operations
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks, Microsoft Office, and Salesforce (or other CRM)
  • Familiarity with nonprofit fundraising and donor management
