Fortis Health is seeking a Detailed Oriented and Highly Analytical Financial Analyst

• Full Time
• Position will be based in Murray, UT
• Previous experience, preferred
• Experience in healthcare setting is a plus
• Experience in supporting multi-sites, highly preferred

This position is responsible for preparing financial reports, conducting special projects, and providing financial analysis to all levels of management. As a Financial Analyst you will close month end, prepare projections/budgets and partner with leaders by providing information and analysis to support decision making.

Job Responsibilities

• Prepares and interprets management information and other financial reports.
• Analyzes financial documents, statistical data, historical data, and presents to and interprets for management.
• Participates in the establishment and maintenance of cost accounting systems.
• Audits accounting systems, reconciles data, and resolves technical problems or recommends solutions when appropriate.
• Analyzes trends and possible consequences.
• Recommends and implements improvements that affect accounting systems and departmental operations.
• Prepares and monitor departmental budget/forecast.
• May provide training on financial issues or procedures or provide guidance to more junior staff.
• Partners with teams to understand the business, key drivers, and trends that will impact future results
• Partners with leaders by providing information and analysis necessary aid in decision support
• Develops relationships across the organization, particularly within Financial Management and the teams and divisions supported

• Ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined above.
• Thorough knowledge of established accounting principles and practices.
• Spreadsheet and database skills.
• Able to create and track KPI’s
• Knowledge of statistics and demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to independently determine the type and nature of analysis to be used to obtain the desired information or results, including data to be collected, analysis methods, presentation, and format and report structure.
• Ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects, determining the best course of action or appropriate resources needed to complete a project or address a problem, obtain valid data, and create clear and understandable reports that reflect the data being sought.
• Familiar with all months end close processes and is aware of the various systems and databases available to help resolve variances
• Prepares weekly and monthly reports for teams and divisions and ensures reports are accurate, complete, and timely

Education, Licensure(s) and Qualifications

• 2 - 4 Years work experience in finance, accounting, or related field
• Degree in Finance or Accounting
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel

· Experience with Sage software is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
