STARTING SALARY $74,755 I
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be between the ages of 18 and 35. Applicant
beginning position as a firefighter.
- Must be a U.S. citizen by birth or naturalization OR
fluently speak English.
- Must have high school diploma or GED.
- Must, by the date of hire, possess either Texas
Paramedic License/Certificate.

Firefighter Year 2 $82,418 • If applicable, a DD214 reflecting Intermediate Fire Cert. $ 6 0 p e r month an honorable discharge can
Firefighter Year 3 $86,549 Advanced Fire Cert. $ 8 0 p e r month be turned in to receive five
Firefighter Year 4 $90,887 Master Fire Cert. $ 1 2 5 p er month additional points.
Firefighter Year 5 $95,432 Bachelor’s Degree $ 1 2 5 p er month The following is due at the time of
hiring:
- Potential Year 6 Pay Special Operations $75 per month • Copy of High School Diploma or
Year 6 Pay FLSA Avg. $1843 per year GED
Paramedic Pay • Copy of Texas Paramedic License/
Ambu l a n c e Pay Certificate OR National Registry
+ FLSA Pay Foreign Language Pay Paramedic License/Certificate
