Who we Are: Our Team Fitness is a cutting-edge fitness studio located at the Oceanport Village Center in Oceanport NJ. Our company, which boasts an ownership team and staff with over a decade of experience in fitness coaching and operations, offers a wide range of training options for all including small team personal coaching, large team classes, kids strength and conditioning, massage therapy, and registered dietitian appointments.

At Our Team Fitness we have a supportive and motivational group fitness setting that helps to foster and promote a healthy lifestyle within its fitness community. Our studio offers a comprehensive range of state-of-the-art resistance and cardiovascular gym equipment, including kettlebells, TRX and weighted sleds, etc, while our certified staff assists members in achieving their tailored fitness goals.

What’s expected of you: We aren’t your typical gym and we love that. You are joining a family and we each have to pull our weight to keep our clients happy and reaching their goals. We depend on each other to push the success of the entire business. As a new coach at Our Team Fitness we require you to complete at least 50 hrs of observation with our director before we allow you to coach on our floor.

Responsibilities and Duties

As a coach you are required to:

• Maintain a personal commitment to meeting the needs of members and guests.
• Track and adjust athletes program as needed.
• Demonstrate and be able to teach correct use of all weight and cardiovascular equipment to the standards of Our Team Fitness.
• Assist in development and implementation of club programs and events.
• Participate in all staff related meetings and other required activities.
• Behave as a role model by leading and promoting a healthy lifestyle.
• Maintain a positive attitude at all times when working with members.
• Seek opportunities for personal and professional growth.
• Dress professionally, according to the current dress code standards.
• Perform a customer service role by assisting members in monitoring their exercise programs, encouraging members to reach their fitness and wellness goals, and handling member concerns and complaints quickly and effectively.
• Encourage members to take advantage of other club services and programs (Dietitian, Massage)
• Help maintain a clean working environment for staff and clients
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills

Qualifications: Only applicants seeking personal and professional grow need apply To be considered Our Team Fitness Coaching Position we require:

• Must have a minimum of two years of education in the field of exercise science or experience with exercise.
• Nationally recognized personal training certification from NSCA or NASM preferred. Other certifying bodies will be considered. (Must be obtained within 60 days of hire)
• Must complete onboarding process under Our Team Fitness Director: 1) Complete Observation hours 2) Complete Overview of coaching at Our Team Fitness 3) Complete Practical of Semi-Private and Large Team training sessions

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.50 - $25.00 per hour
