Schedule:

• Monday- Friday
• 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Must be available on off hours and weekends

Pay Rate:

• Salary range is $150,000 to $190,000 yearly depending on experience.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

The Director of Maintenance will oversee the day-to-day maintenance operations of Lux Bus America’s services in Northern California. The key objectives are to maximize efficiencies, improve service levels, while focusing on staff development, and the establishment of process and procedure. The individual selected will operate from our San Jose, California office and oversee our Sacramento location.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE:

• Lead all teams that report up to Director of Maintenance with a proactive, consistent, assertive yet reassuring style. These teams may include 1) Fleet & Logistics Management, 2) Maintenance & Inventory, 3) Facilities Management, and 4) Safety, Certification & Training.
• Train managers and have a succession plan for all key roles that is transparent and fruitful.
• Take initiative and make recommendations to VP Northern California for process of maintenance improvements.
• Create and manage plans to ensure all fleet maintenance is up to DOT and company standards.
• Manage department personnel including but not limited to interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and correcting employee conduct.
• Ability to comply with all Department of Transportation (DOT), governmental regulations, policies, and standards.
• Solid understanding of Federal and State wage and hour laws, preferred.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Director of Maintenance.
• Thorough knowledge of DOT rules and regulations.
• Experience managing a staff of 10 or more employees in a multi-shift / multi-site environment.
• 5 Years’ experience in fleet maintenance, management, and operations.
• Proven leadership and interpersonal skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
• Regular travel to the site of existing and potential clients, and elsewhere in connection with managing Company’s operations
