Job Description: Job Summary
Designs, develops and modifies curriculum, documentation and other training materials to support Instructor led and/or online training. Responsible for multiple projects and recommends training solutions. Mentors other Team members to achieve high performance and to promote Southwest Culture.
Responsibilities
Consult on layout and graphic needs
Design, develop, and implement training that is delivered online, facilitator-led, or any combination of the two
Develop and assist in the implementation of multiple training programs, job aids, and other performance improvement solutions
Develop custom graphics and animations for training purposes
Develop standardized event materials
Work with subject matter experts and Cross Functional Leadership to obtain information required
Create training content based on development objectives and method of delivery
Develop media rich eLearning on multiple platforms
Establish, work within, and communicate project timeline and deadlines in conjunction with Flight Ops Leadership
May perform other job duties as directed by Employee’s Leaders
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of media production, communication, and dissemination techniques and methods including alternative ways to inform and entertain via written, oral, and visual media
Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects
Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar
Skilled in understanding the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making
Skilled in using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
Ability to shift back and forth between two or more activities or sources of information (such as speech, sounds, touch, or other sources)
Ability to imagine how something will look after it is moved around or when its parts are moved or rearranged
Education
Required: High School Diploma or GED
Experience
Intermediate-level experience, fully functioning broad knowledge in:
Multimedia Development with rich media tools (ex: Adobe Creative Suite, PowerPoint, iSpring, Story Line, Final Cut Pro) and web technologies
Licensing/Certification
N/A
Physical Abilities
Ability to perform work duties from [limited space work station/desk/office area] for extended periods of time
Ability to communicate and interact with others in the English language to meet the demands of the job
Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed and accuracy to meet the demands of the job
Ability to move various multi-media and computer equipment up to 35 lbs from one location to another
Other Qualifications
Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines
Must be a U.S. citizen or have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines
Must be able to work extended weekday hours or on weekends periodically as needed
Must be able to travel as needed
