Position Summary:
The Focused Tech (FT) will work closely with the Area Leaders and Process Engineers to apply an extensive range of Focused Improvement methods to counter losses. FT works as the liaison between ManEx and Production departments and accountable for driving loss reduction. FT will play a key role in delivering the factory results through the Focused Improvement (FI) and Preventive Maintenance (PM) methodology within your cell team structure. Cell team consists of area leader, process engineer and focused technician in multiple areas/ lines throughout the factory. Working directly with the Production team members, Warehousing team members, Compounding team members, site Technical Engineering and all WCM pillars to act as the technical support/ co-lead for phenomena identification, root cause analysis, establishing countermeasure, attacking chronic losses, and leading kaizen events to yield sustainable efficiency improvements. FT demonstrates rigor and high level of detail with a learning and coaching mindset, being the PM coach to the team, supporting the learning and development of the team members. S/He ensures proper root cause analysis is completed, learnings are captured and transferred to the line/area teams. The FT also helps with center lining and kaizen activities to provide technical support as needed.
Your line manager will be the cell Process Engineer for the line/area, who reports to the ManEx Manager.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Proven, demonstrated knowledge of packaging machinery operations and troubleshooting, including automated bottle and canister fillers, labelers, and case packaging equipment.

Ability to complete planned and unplanned maintenance activities as necessary to sustain business operations.

Attention to detail, bias for action, accountability, written and verbal communication skills, data collection and analysis, problem solving, decision-making, teamwork, and sound judgment.

Must demonstrate a passion for improvement and strong technical skills.

WCM tools and documentation including 5s, quick kaizens, planned maintenance, etc.

Business understanding to include cost-benefit analysis, waste streams, and loss tree reporting.
Job Responsibilities

Participate and actively drive ideas for safety and reliability improvements in the Raeford facility

Help lead the continuous improvement and preventive maintenance focus to ensure sustainable efficiency gains within the cell. You will communicate the vision and coach the team to make this vision a reality.

Partner with key partners (planning team, business leaders, and area leaders) and to ensure timely and quality work completion

Together with the Area Leader, you review and create a robust maintenance (CILR-PM) plan for the cell to eliminate breakdowns and reduce overall losses.

Team training and certification, including LUTI methodology to share OEM trainings

All other duties as assigned
What You’ll Need To Succeed

High school diploma or GED equivalent (REQUIRED)

Five or more years of experience in an industrial maintenance operation with a proven record of process improvement. Formal technical training certification/degree are strongly preferred (i.e. Associate’s Degree in Industrial Maintenance).

Hands-on experience in kaizen activity and/ or continuous improvement program (WCM, TPM, 6-sigma, Lean, etc) implementation in manufacturing environment is a plus
