Elaine’s is a full-service restaurant and bar serving modern Mediterranean cuisine. Located within sight of the Potomac in the heart of Old Town, Alexandria’s Historic District. Elaine’s brings Egyptian Alexandrian dishes to Old Town. Alexandrian cuisine is an amalgamation of Greek, Italian, Lebanese and French cuisines with a flare. Elaine’s old-world charm and ambience are elevated with our modern vibrant cuisine.

We are looking for bartenders, servers, hosts, bussers and barbacks for front of house staff.

Job Summary

We are looking for trusty, well-presented front of house staff to supplement our existing team. Contingent on their placement, front of house staff may be responsible for receiving guests, escorting them to their tables, and conveying their requests to kitchen staff. To be successful as front of house staff, you should be outgoing, personable, and adept at stress management. Remarkable front of house staff will provide new guests with suggestions for our menu.

Duties and responsibilities

• Receiving and confirming walk-in, telephone and online reservations.
• Accepting and informing the relevant staff about food and beverage requests.
• Transporting food orders from the kitchen to each table.
• Clearing glassware, silverware, and crockery from each table once guests have completed their meals, or upon request.
• Keeping dining area clean
• Taking care of guest requests
• Creating a pleasant dining experience in front of house for each guest

Required Experience

• Must have restaurant experience
• Friendly and warm personality
• Must work well with others
• Able to multitask
