Job description
Full-time shipping & receiving forklift driver needed for first shift. Prior experience with forklift operation and ability to demonstrate safe forklift operation during an interview is a must.
Essential Functions:
- Must be able to drive a variety of different types of forklifts.
- Responsible for loading/unloading freight into/from semi-trailers.
- Responsible for coordinating the storage of received freight and/or delivering freight to other departments, as appropriate.
- Must effectively use a variety of hand tools.
- Must have some clerical skills (reading part numbers, recording serial numbers, counting inventory, entering information into a computer terminal).
- Responsible for checking parts to verify accuracy and quality prior to completion of receiving.
- Must be able to lift parts of varying weights onto work area.
- Must be able to pick orders accurately and then pack them appropriately for shipping, as needed.
- Must be able to recognize any omitted parts or procedures of shipping process.
- Must be aware of supply of necessary parts required for completion of order.
- Must be able to keep an organized work area.
- Must be constantly alert to potential hazards and keep a safety awareness attitude.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
