We are excited to be opening a new location in mid-April and looking are for forklift operators!

Your work is what keeps us moving! We are looking for forklift operators who enjoy consistently fast-paced work, working with team members to keep workflow moving, and the challenge of building a stack just right. Some of your responsibilities will include loading and unloading trucks, organizing racks in our warehouse, communicating with coworkers and supervisors to report/resolve issues, and using scanners and computers to complete tasks.

2nd shift runs from 2:30pm to 11:00pm.

• Extended hours and Saturdays required during busy season.

• Pay is biweekly

About us:

Material Control Systems started out in Waterloo, Iowa as a small container management warehouse consisting of family and friends. Since then, we have set the standard in the industry for our client and now operate in 5 states with 7 locations. Keeping with our roots, we strive to add talent from our local communities and promote cross-training to give our employees opportunities to build their skills.

Skills that will make you successful:

• Ability to operate and maneuver forklifts to move freight safely and efficiently
• Prior experience in a warehouse or an industry that processes a high volume of items
• Experience working with a team or across teams to complete tasks on time
• Experience with scanners or computers
• Ability to speak, read, and understand instructions in English
• Strong interpersonal, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills

Skills that will make you stand out:

• Experience with interlocking racks and containers
• Experience working with supervisors to resolve issues and recommend improvements
• Leading a small team to complete work tasks
• An excellent attendance history

Required education and experience

• Able to pass the forklift operation test within the first 3 days of employment.

Must be eligible to prove ability to work legally in the United States.
