Front Office Receptionist
Medical Receptionist Duties and Responsibilities
**Travel between Southlake and Denton office locations is required**
***Additional travel to our Keller office will be required during initial training***
- Greet patients, and other visitors to our medical offices
- Answer patient questions and provide assistance and directions when necessary via in person visits, phone calls, and emails
- Utilize our medical office software to schedule new and follow-up appointments for our patients
- Register new patients and update necessary records
- Distribute forms and paperwork to patients and then check them over to ensure that required fields are completed appropriately
- Verify patient insurance for services rendered
- Assist in obtaining referrals and prior authorization for services when needed
- Collect and process bills, invoices, and patient payments in office
- Maintain confidentiality of all patient records
- Manage inventory of necessary office supplies and coordinate reordering
- Ensure that the waiting room environment remains quiet, calm, and welcoming
- Uphold the positive reputation of our medical office by always treating visitors in a friendly, welcoming, and compassionate manner
Medical Receptionist Requirements and Qualifications
- Knowledge of insurance verification and collections a must!
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience with ECW (eClinicalWorks)
- Friendly and compassionate disposition
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Dedication to maintaining confidentiality of all patient records
- Background check and drug test upon hire
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $14.00 per hour
