Summary:
Highly motivated chiropractic clinic looking for a Front Desk Receptionist to join our current team. You will support day-to-day operations by performing administrative tasks and ensuring high quality customer service for our patients. As a Front Desk Receptionist, you will perform various tasks on a daily basis. You should be able to multitask and prioritize. We expect you to handle sensitive information confidentially. If you are able to combine exceptional communication skills with an ability to perform ‘behind the scenes’ tasks, we would like to meet you. Ultimately, you should be able to ensure our medical facility’s smooth operation by accurately completing administrative tasks in a timely manner.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Answer phone calls by the second ring.
- Check patients in using EHR
- Check patients out using EHR
- Notify back-end staff promptly of patients arrival by using intercom or if you can take paperwork to the back personally.
- Assist patients with initial paperwork.
- Schedule/reschedule patients using the computer/appointment book.
- Add new patients and their insurance in the computer on arrival.
- Greet patients and give the new patients paperwork/give VA or PI patients the visit questionnaire.
- Check out the overflow patients from the checkout counter if possible.
- Performs other essential functions as directed.
- Collect Co-Pays
During the downtime the Front Desk Receptionist will ensure the following:
- Pull paperwork for the following day.
- Make chart packets and copies of paperwork.
- Call patients who have missed appointments and reschedule.
- Check faxes and address or give to appropriate person.
- Check dictations on doctor's computer.
- Supply check off (ensure clinic isn't short on any supplies).
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 3 Years Front Desk Experience
Skills:
- Experience with medical software
- Knowledge of healthcare operations
- Familiarity with medical insurance policies
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
- Customer-oriented communication skills
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $12.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 4 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Holidays
- Monday to Friday
- No nights
- No weekends
Experience:
- Medical receptionist: 2 years (Required)
