NOTICE OF POSTING OF VACANCY

POSITION: Full-Time Assistant Land Use Officer

This is to advise that a vacancy exists for the above referenced full-time position in the Township of Wall Land Use Department.

Responsibilities include permit and plan review of proposed buildings, structures, and land uses for compliance with state, county, and local laws, ordinances, rules and regulations. Occasional field inspections to ensure compliance with zoning regulations and applicable rules is required. This position involves general office operations, substantial correspondence and interaction with colleagues, the public, and professionals. Additional duties as assigned.

Interested candidates shall have a Zoning Official Certificate issued by the New Jersey Association of Planning and Zoning Administrators. Substantial experience in zoning or land use or a Bachelor’s Degree in a planning, public policy or a related field may be substituted for some or all of these qualifications.

All candidates must have exceptional communication and organizational skills and the ability to work productively, independently, and on deadline in an integrated office environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is required. Experience in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) is a plus.
