FirstService Residential is now hiring Landscapers to join our Maintenance team at the beautiful Sun Village community in Surprise, AZ.

This is a full time, Monday through Friday position offering both benefits and consistent work hours. We have an amazing team who is looking to bring on someone who has landscaping experience and can start this month.

Job Summary:

You will be responsible for the cultivation and maintaining of all landscaping and grounds within and surrounding our communities. Will ensures the Association's landscape is satisfactory by utilizing various tools and methods in a manner consistent with the goals and objectives of the property.

Essential Duties & Job Responsibilities:

• Interacts with homeowners, other landscape crews, the property manager, and various staff on site to prioritize and schedule different tasks & projects.
• Follows-up on inspection of all assigned landscape maintenance and any other miscellaneous work orders.
• Routinely inspects landscape within the association including all surrounding and common areas.
• Documents and reports any findings to management for further processing.
• Evaluate plants, trees and ground covers for unnatural conditions such as browning leaves or evidence of stress. Determine whether special amendments or watering adjustments would improve their condition along with any removals or replacements.
• Check all solenoids, valves, diaphragms, broken pipes, missing landscape, cover-up removal conditions, and wet spots in the ground which would be indicative of an underground broken main line. This includes monitoring all irrigation clocks to ensure that they are always working properly and are in accordance with state requirements.
• Track schedules established between your team and other contracted landscape vendors to ensure that aeration, fertilization, mowing, trimming, blowing, etc. is being done on a regular and timely basis.

Knowledge, Skills, & Proficiencies:

• Practice and adhere to FirstService Residential Global Service Standards and safety protocols along with Standard Operating Procedures.
• Capability of reading street maps, design plans, and work orders.
• Must be available to work holidays, weekends, and various hours when necessary.

Education & Experience:

• High School Graduate OR equivalent.
• Minimum of two (2) years landscape maintenance experience with strong skills in irrigation, typical pest control, soil management, & fertilization.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.50 - $19.00 per hour

• Surprise, AZ 85374: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

• Landscaping: 1 year (Preferred)
