What you will be doing:

  • Sort and prepare mail for processing on core banking system.
  • Process additional transactions including, but not limited to, deposits, transfers, loans and visa payments, Term Certificate maintenance, closeouts and withdrawals.
  • Process new accounts and complex account maintenance requests received through the mail or other departments.
  • Prove daily transactions and prepare checks for deposit via the Credit Union Branch capture systems.
  • Process adjustments against member’s and general ledger accounts when there are discrepancies with checks scanned the previous business day, versus the amounts received by Third-Party Processor. Mail Processor 2 is also responsible for researching and re-scanning any check items identified by third-party check processor as missing or failed to meet the standards of Check 21 requirements.
  • Prepare follow up letters to members in Microsoft Word for incomplete/unclear requests received.

What we need from you:

  • High School diploma with good aptitude for figures is necessary.
  • High accuracy in data entry duties with the ability to meet set standards in mail volume, plus the ability to function with a minimum amount of supervision is necessary.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, including the ability to handle difficult situations with tact, empathy and professionalism are critical qualities for this position.
  • Candidate must have the ability to work within a Windows environment, personal computer and possess knowledge of Microsoft Word.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritizes them properly.
