DESCRIPTION:

This is a full-time, non-exempt position. The One-on-One Teacher Aide works with a teaching staff to assist in carrying
out educational program for students. Provides coverage in classroom when needed during IEP meetings and at

other times. Assists with teaching and reinforcing living skills. Reinforces behavior programs and plans that may be
in place when needed. Acts as an assistant to the teacher in helping to reinforce any academic, social, emotional, or
behavioral goals on the child’s IEP.

MINIMUM
QUALIFICATIONS:
To be considered, Associate’s degree with general training or experience in child development and/or experience
working with deaf children is preferable. The individual must be familiar with needs of deaf students. Some experience
in the area of deafness is preferred.

SIGNING REQUIREMENTS:
The Sign Language Proficiency Interview (SLPI) for the position is “Advanced.” The minimum level accepted at hire is
“Intermediate.”

CLEARANCES REQUIRED:

PA Criminal Background, PA Child Abuse, and FBI Clearance required.
