Starting pay for Full Time General Plant workers is $17.25 - $18.75 an hour.

Shift 1: 6:30am – 6:00pm

Full-time employees are expected to work all available hours. (11 1/2-hour maximum days) Most of the year, work weeks are 45 – 50 hours.

General Description: General Plant Workers are responsible for operating equipment in the plant, working with fresh and/or cooked product, and preparing items for distribution

Other Functions: Plant workers are also responsible for keeping work area clean.

Required Physical Activities: Work is moderately to highly strenuous. Must have good range of motion and flexibility. Healthy wrists and hands are critical to do most jobs. Must also be able to lift 30 lbs. regularly and easily (Anything over 50 lbs. is required to be team lifted). All production jobs involve continuous standing and walking on cement floors. Hearing and eyesight must be acceptable for safety purposes.

Environmental Conditions: Must be able to work in an environment of 50 degrees or less. (General room temperature is 45 degrees).

Personal Qualifications: High School education is desirable, but not required.
