We are looking for a skilled, resourceful, and collaborative Geotechnical Engineer to join our team in our Wilmington, DE office. The Geotechnical Engineer will work closely with a team of staff engineers and scientists on challenging and exciting projects largely in urban environments. This is a fast-paced and dynamic position, with opportunities to be challenged and grow professionally.

Essential Functions-What You Will Do

  • Coordinate and perform field investigation programs.
  • Observe and document complex construction activities.
  • Collect, interpret, and analyze field and laboratory data.
  • Prepare reports, design plans, cost estimates, specifications, and other deliverables.
  • Assist with project management tasks, including developing proposals, budgets and attending meetings.
  • Formulate preliminary conclusions, recommendations, and strategies to address environmental or geotechnical site issues.

Competencies-What We Are Looking For

  • 0-3 years’ experience in the geotechnical engineering or a related industry.
  • A bachelor’s degree in civil engineering (a geotechnical focus is preferred).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • A strong attention to detail and technical understanding is required.
  • Additional consideration will be given to candidates with experience in construction for both private and public clients.
  • Previous soil management and MCP-driven subsurface investigation experience is also a plus.

  • Schedule: Monday through Friday with flexible daily hours.
  • Located in Wilmington, DE.
  • Travel to offices and project sites is require (approximately 75% of the time).
