Responsibilities Start Date: March, 2023, virtual Spring training possible
Westtown Arrival Date: on or about June 20
End and Westtown Departure Date: August 7, 2023
Supervised by: Gesher Director
Minimum Qualifications: Hiring subject to applicable URJ and Pennsylvania State background checks.
Prior experience working with and fondness for high school age children in a formal or informal setting necessary. Must have completed 2 or more years of an undergraduate program or be the age equivalent. Must be able to demonstrate flexibility, manage multiple responsibilities at once and work as part of a team. Love and/or respect for The Arts and a diverse community is a must.

Responsibilities
JEWISH
- Actively participate and demonstrate respect in ritual moments
- Incorporate core values and summer theme in to bunk rituals and group moments in meaningful and appropriate ways
- Support campers on their Jewish journeys, answering questions when appropriate and providing resources when necessary
- Incorporate core values and summer theme in meaningful and appropriate ways
ARTS
- Opportunities to lead group discussions and activities during evening programs
- Support Gesher curriculum and infuse with artistic practices when possible
- Assist and, when asked, facilitate workshops, warm-ups, and activities in Arts Majors, under the guidance and support of the Arts Mentor.
- Support campers in their skills training and artistic growth
- Cheer at showcase
CAMP
- Support Gesher participants in their daily routine, helping them to feel a part of the community in their own way, forming interpersonal connections with peers, and assisting participants in navigating personal goals, struggles, and triumphs with the goal of investing campers in programming
- Work in partnership with Gesher Director to support campers, including the completion of nightly cabin logs designed to document mental, physical, emotional, and overall status of campers and yourself
- Sit with campers during meals and all-camp or unit activities, and be mindfully and conversationally present
- On-duty on a revolving basis after bunks-in on assigned dorm floor
- With creative guidance from the Leadership Team, craft and implement appropriate programs, curriculum, and theme days for Gesher
- Actively participate and encourage others in camp activities
- Contribute to the overall positive morale of the camp community
- Maintain strict confidentiality of staff, camper, and family information
