Girls Varsity Ice Hockey - Head Coach Position

Cranbrook Kingswood Upper School seeks applicants with a passion for coaching for our varsity Girls Ice Hockey team for the Fall/Winter 2022-23 season (October through mid-March 2023). The program's proud history includes State Championships in 1998, 2002, 2005, and 2013. Cranbrook has outstanding athletics facilities, including Wallace Ice Arena.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Coaching responsibilities include management of all facets of the Girls Ice Hockey program but are not limited to:

• Building competitive teams.
• Organizing and running practices.
• Developing and implementing effective game strategies.
• Supervising and utilizing assistant coaches.

EXPECTATIONS:

Maintain a high standard of integrity in all aspects of team management. Foster a culture that promotes the school's values and the student's academic experience. Intentionally integrate school core values as the framework from which to coach and build athletic programs.

REQUIREMENTS:

Successful candidates will have a minimum of 3 years of successful coaching experience at the collegiate or high school level and/or in a club setting. Candidates should have demonstrated communication and community relations abilities and work effectively with students, staff, administration, and parents.
