Melissa Data is seeking a GIS Analyst for our Rancho Santa Margarita, CA location. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining a variety of software projects related to GIS database systems and spatial data. Primary focus will be on developing GIS storage systems, combining spatial data across various sources, and creating new, novel methods to consume the data.

Requirements for this position include:

• BS degree in GIS, computer science, software engineering, or closely related field.
• 1+ years of experience in software development.
• Proficiency with GIS software.
• Team player with good communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.

Experience in any of the following fields is a plus:

• SQL Server, PostgreSQL, GeoServer.
• Python
• NoSQL databases.
• Fluent in WKT, GeoJSON, KML.
• Work in data parsing, GIS processing.
