Position Overview

As a GIS Data Analyst, you will gain experience with ingest, build, and validation of LightBox’s core spatial datasets. Using your database management knowledge, you will ensure that all data is loaded properly in their unique loading processes, you will gain python experience in our build process, utilizing your acute attention to detail in maintaining and enhancing the quality of our outputs. You will work collaboratively with a team of hardworking GIS Data Analysts and Data Engineers on highly scalable data pipelines.

What you will do and achieve

• Maintain and develop data ETL processes.
• Utilize PostgreSQL, ArcGIS, and other software to transform and manipulate data.
• Maintain and develop upon existing data pipelines to prepare data to support core product.
• Become an expert on building footprint and address point data.

Who you are

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, GIS, or similar discipline.

Experience

• 0 to 3 years’ experience in Data Analysis, Data Engineering, or GIS Analysis.

Key Knowledge & Skills

• Ability to productively problem solve independently.
• Fundamental knowledge in SQL, GIS, Python, ETL and data management.
• Concise communicator with the ability to document workflows.
• Commitment to complete assigned tasks and projects.

Other Desirable Attributes

• Experience developing complex SQL queries to demonstrate validation or transformation of data highly valuable.
• GIS certification, demonstrable GIS projects or ArcGIS Online experience.
• Experience using python modules, packages, and libraries.
• Familiarity with building footprint and address point data a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
