Knowledge & Qualifications

• Knowledge of commercial storefront materials
• Experience in determining scope of work
• Experience in understanding bid documents
• Proficient at understanding and translating construction plans, drawings and specifications and generating accurate take-offs and estimates
• Construction Managers to close business
• Blueprint Reading
• Quantity takeoffs from plans
• Review project designs to make sure they are feasible
• Capacity to put glass into production based on given measurements
• Ability to identify glass based on specific images and samples
• Knowledge of storefront and curtainwall
• Can determine different glass variables
• Understanding of window and door mechanics as well as hardware.
• Organizational skills, able to handle numerous bids/projects at one time
• Must be able to work in team environment
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and be a motivated team player

Duties & Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

• Evaluate project leads to determine scope of work, contractual requirements and create a bidding strategy.
• Prepare accurate quantity takeoff and pricing using architectural drawings, specifications, and shop drawings
• Manage multiple estimating projects concurrently with ability to multi-task
• Solve problems and conflicts with potential glazing systems and the customization needed to meet architectural requirements
• Obtain 2-3 Quotes for Specialty items (i.e., bulletproof glass, fire-rated glass, ACM Panels with and without Installation)
• Door Hardware to be quoted if required
• Develop unit cost accurately with profitability margins
• Consider and understand problems and identify appropriate solutions
• Maintain detailed records of each project estimated.
• Assist in soliciting company or vendor proposals.
• Review Contracts for verification of Scope of Work
• Prepare Budget for Submission to PM
• Prepare Submittals for Submission to Project Manager
• Order Shop Drawings (If applicable)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
