We are seeking a The Business Development Manager will be responsible for the sales process of short and long-term initiatives and staffing requirements by identifying and securing business opportunities and managing existing relationships with our established clients. This is a great opportunity to gain experience or continue your experience in home decor, interior design, architectural and construction industries. You will hone your skills in relationship development, technical understanding, and selling high-end goods. We are a growing company with many career advancement opportunities.
Essential Functions:
- Target, qualify and pursue leads in accordance with company strategy and techniques
- Develop new business opportunities and drive incremental sales growth with new products, value added services, channels and geography in order to continually drive proprietary brands sales and market share growth
- Implement effective business plans and strategies for assigned territory growth
- Learn and master value selling and ROI discussions to close new accounts
- Provides accurate weekly forecasting, including deal value, status, decision makers and steps to close
- Communicate regularly with leaders/teams regarding performance, inquiries, competitive activities, complaints, market conditions or other pertinent conditions
- Serve as the liaison between the client, Marketing, Sales Management, and other departments
- Attend company meetings, trainings, tradeshows, events and promotions
- Develop a solid understanding of product lines and competitive selling point
- Study patterns and trends to assess competitive presence in our industry
- Managing the client relationship, pre-sales, post-sales, and delivery/service assistance
- Developing and implementing sales strategies
- Establish relationships with client decision makers
- Secure new business opportunities
- Building a sales pipeline for the account(s)
- The ideal candidate will be adept in generating leads and connecting with other businesses at a high level - showcasing our high-end luxury brand
- Must possess a “hunter’s” mentality and take responsibility for sourcing leads, identifying and securing customers, and negotiating and closing contracts
- Develops and/or implements strategic business plans to achieve key revenue, share, and profit goals for assigned markets
- Conducts research to analyze competitive position, and market trends
- Works with other departments to solve problems as they relate to pricing, delivery and quality
- Holds product seminars, creates presentations, provides training and/or technical support, attends trade shows and coordinates control and communication documentation
Qualifications:
- A minimum of an Associate’s or Undergraduate degree, or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of demonstrated outside sales experience in complex selling to vendors, architects and builders.
- Excellent computer (NetSuite, Microsoft Office Suite), communication, and presentation skills are required.
- Ability to follow directions, multitask, and work independently, as well as part of our team, in a fast-paced environment. Strong written and oral communication skills
- Experience in high-end luxury doors, windows, and/or interior design is highly desired, willing to train someone motivated and passionate within the industry.
