SUMMARY
Responsible for construction and renovation projects on multiple golf courses, including bunker renovations and cart path construction. Other general construction projects as assigned by the Golf Course Superintendent. Requires valid Arkansas driver’s license and clean driving record with proof of liability insurance.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with the Golf Course Superintendents on construction and renovation projects on each golf course.
  • Responsible for equipment condition through proper scheduling of maintenance and repairs.
  • Wear and maintain all safety clothing and equipment as required.
  • Ensure that construction employees attend training programs and maintain licenses and permits as required by law to operate construction equipment appropriately used.
  • Maintain a cooperative working relationship with staff and property owners.
  • You may be required to drive a POA or personal vehicle while conducting POA business.
  • Regular attendance is required.
  • Operate maintenance equipment safely orderly manner, repairing all equipment deficiencies.


QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
High School diploma or equivalent. Two years of maintenance or construction experience is preferred. Knowledge and experience with heavy equipment, such as backhoes, trenchers, small dozers, dump trucks, etc., are desirable.


LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.


MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10s and 100s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.


REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to complete instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.


CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must have or acquire a valid Arkansas Class B Commercial driver’s license and clean driving record with proof of liability insurance.
