Volunteers of America Northern New England, Inc. would like to announce a new position, Granst Administrator, that will support our Community Justice programming!

Position Overview: The Grant Administrator supports grant operations and special projects to support Director in overall community justice programs. This position will be responsible for working collaboratively with program managers and coordinators to develop effective data collection for reporting purposes as it pertains to grant funded projects and contractual agreements. The Grants Administrator will oversee current and future grants awards, working with program leads on ongoing development of implementation of programs. The Grants
Administrator will assist the Director and will also be responsible for the tracking of training of development of staff in their areas of community justice programs as they relate to deliverables and outcomes of grant awards. Continue to develop software systems, tracking with data and metrics put in place to determine effectiveness and outcomes of programs.

Essential Job Functions:

1. Developing proposals for funding opportunities and applying for grants for CommunityJustice programming.

2. Overseeing the implementation of approved projects, including monitoring budgets and ensuring that milestones are met.

3. Preparing reports on grant performance, financial status, and funder satisfaction.

4. Providing guidance and support to other staff members regarding grant requirements and procedures.

5. Conducting research to identify potential grant opportunities that align with the organization’s Community Justice mission and goals.

6. Ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.

7. Conducting audits to ensure that funds have been spent according to the grant agreement’s stipulations.

8. Participate in and contribute to other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Education, Experience, and Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

2. Two years of experience working with incarcerated population preferred

3. Knowledge of behavioral patterns and issues related to individuals with substance use disorder and mental illness, including crisis situations, knowledge of basic operations, understanding of community resources, implementation of individual treatment plans/goals, and documentation of care needed.

4. Excellent organizational, time and record management skills.

5. Ability to lead without direct supervisory authority

6. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required.

7. Valid Maine driver’s license and safe driving record required.

8. Excellent computer skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, strong writing skills.

9. Methodical and strategic thinking, project management skills.

10. Budgeting and accounting experience, knowledge of auditing policies.

11. Knowledge of federal grantors.

Reporting / Supervisory Responsibility:

1. Reports to the Director Community Justice

2. Direct Reports: none.
