Maître D
Position Summary
The Maître D is the lead member of our front-of-house service team and is responsible for greeting customers, making and confirming reservations, and training and managing waitstaff to ensure the highest possible standards of service. The Maître D is also responsible for both the logistic details, including reservations and arrangements for large parties, as well as setting the overall ambiance and atmosphere of the restaurant space. Additional duties include processing payments, overseeing quality and safety of the food/beverage served to our guests, and managing health and safety standards.

Gaming
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must obtain a Washoe County Liquor Work Permit
- Must obtain an Alcohol Awareness Training Card
Experience
- Considerable prior experience in high-end food service environments
- Adaptive organizational skills and the ability to change plans to meet new circumstances
Skill, Knowledge, and Abilities
- Impeccable demeanor
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, including the ability to tactfully deliver unwelcome news to customers
- Logistical and organizational acumen
- Quality assurance principals, standard requirements and the set processes and activities used for measuring, controlling and ensuring quality of products and processes
- Strong cash handling skills
- Must be available and willing to work all shifts required
- Must adhere to all guidelines and policies established in the Employee Handbook
Compensation/Benefits
- Pay based on experience
- Eligible for health/dental/vision insurance 1st day of the month following 60 days of employment
- Eligible for voluntary expanded benefits 1st day of the month following 60 days of employment
- Eligible to participate with company 401k plan following one year of employment/eligible for company outlined match
- Will receive vacation pay and paid leave per the company provided schedule
