The Maryland Military Department is looking to hire multiple Groundskeepers in various locations: Reisterstown, Glen Arm, Parkville, & Edgewood, Maryland.

If you are looking for a dynamic job supporting the mission of the Maryland National Guard, then we are looking for you! We offer free parking, a four day work week (10 hour days, Tues - Fri) and other benefits.

Duties will consists of, but are not limited to the following:

• Mowing grass, applying fertilizer and pesticides, pruning shrubbery and trees, weeds and mulching garden beds and raking leaves.
• Beautifying the grounds, watering grass, flowers, shrubbery and trees.
• Performing minor repairs to grounds such as patching walkways and steps.
• Cutting and removing dead or damaged trees.
• Maintaining roads, storm drains and parking areas.

Experience: Six months of experience in the care and maintenance of grounds. (Experience with zero turn mowers preferred.) Background check required.

Groundskeepers may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator’s license valid in the State of Maryland.
