We’re Looking for Someone With:
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED). College Degree preferred
- Six (6) months related experience in hospitality or service industry
- Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) of the workplace
- Ability to understand other computer programs (i.e. Property Management System) preferred
Job Responsibilities:
- Communicate with Front Desk staff and/or Head of Grounds & Maintenance regarding grounds related problems or issues that need immediate attention
- Daily inspection of property (outside, parking lot, common grounds) for trash, cigarettes, etc.
- Responsible for training new staff members
- Perform hotel pool check by 9am (pH level check, sweep deck, vacuum, and skim)
- Sweep paths and beds for debris
- Remove and treat all weeds
- Empty trash in all public locations of the property and specific to your department
- Clean and maintain all exterior landscape lighting, including the seasonal scheduling needs
- Maintain the property sprinkler system
- Maintain all plant life (trim hedges, dead-heading flowers, watering potted plants)
- Oversee plant life development (maintain fertilizing schedule, potting healthy plants, removing dead plants, report on flower bed status with regard to moisture, insects, fungus, etc., and farming and promoting new growth in greenhouse)
- Maintain all grounds equipment/tools; report condition of all equipment/tools and notify Head of Grounds & Maintenance when broken, lost, etc
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of your department’s work area
- Coordinate special projects with other managers
