Job Title: Guest Service Agent

Reports To: General Manager, Assistant General Manager and/or Front Office Manager

Purpose for the Position: Guest Service Agents are responsible for greeting guests upon arrival and making them feel welcomed by building connections that create memorable experiences. Being a source of information to guests about our hotel and neighborhood to help them discover our unique story. We are seeking talent from all backgrounds to join our Opening team and we encourage our associates to bring their authentic and best self to work.

Essential Responsibilities:

Welcome guests in a friendly, prompt and professional manner recognizing returning guests and IHG One Rewards Members

Check guests in, issue room keys, provide information on hotel services

Verify identification of guests, in line with local requirements

Answer phones in prompt and courteous manner

Answer, record and process all guest calls, requests, messages, questions and concerns

Check guests out, resolve any late or disputed charges

Accurately process all guest payments using established procedures

Take action to solve guest problems/complaints using appropriate service recovery guidelines

Communicate any outstanding guest issues that may require additional attention or follow up to management

Follow hotel safety protocols and procedures. Immediately report any health/safety incidents, security breaches, concerns, or suspicious behavior to the manager on duty

Work as part of a team and communicate to other departments per hotel procedures to ensure excellent quality and service

Skills and Knowledge Required: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.

Being passionate about people and service

Strong communication skills

Retail experience a plus

Problem solving and reasoning

Reading/Writing abilities, with basic math skills

Availability to work nights, weekends and/or holidays

Ability to stand for long periods of time

Basic Computer skills to operate various property management and reservation systems

High School diploma or equivalent

Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour
