Job Description (Head of Marketing Optimization)

Summary:
A leading international sports league is seeking a passionate, innovative leader with a strong marketing analytics background to join our team as Head of Marketing Optimization. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and executing data-driven marketing optimization capabilities that deliver personalized experiences at scale, improving overall marketing strategy, planning, measurement, and channel activation efforts to support the strategic priorities and business objectives of the organization. You will leverage enterprise transactional and fan profile data, research and insights, and real-time fan behaviors with marketing channels to identify market trends, grow audience opportunities, and optimize media mixes, platforms, and channels to deliver more effective efforts that drive business results for organizational priorities.

Responsibilities:
  • Design, lead, and mentor a Marketing Analytics and Optimization team to support 1:1 Fan Journeys
  • Build and maintain Customer Journey Analytics dashboards, providing analysis and recommendations for optimizing journeys
  • Work with Data & Analytics teams to conduct deeper marketing analysis using backend data from Business Intelligence (BI) team
  • Lead league and club product attribution with Attribution AI within Adobe Real-Time Customer Data Platform (RTCDP)
  • Communicate and collaborate with internal stakeholders, partners, and vendors to understand strategy, articulate journey optimization results, and delegate next steps accordingly.

Required Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree with at least 6+ years of similar or relevant work experience.
  • Deep understanding of the marketing technology landscape and experience with relevant digital marketing technologies (personalization, data platform, analytics, journey orchestration).
  • Experience with Adobe Experience Platform, including Real-Time Consumer Data Platform (RTCDP), Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO), and/or Customer Journey Analytics (CJA)
  • Certifications in Adobe products (AAM, RTCDP, AA, CJA, AJO, Target) is a big plus
  • Experience with programming language like SQL is a nice to have

Expected Hours of Work:
Employees are required to work 40 hours per week in Pacific Standard Time (PST). This role may require more than 40 hours per week and/or weekends

Leads Marketing Optimization team outlining measurement goals & team functions to support 1:1 Fan Journey's
Builds and Maintains Customer Journey Analytics Dashboards
Analyzes & provides recommendations for optimizing journeys based upon these dashboards
Works with D&A teams on deeper marketing analysis with access to backend data from BI team
Leads league and club product attribution with Attribution AI within Adobe RTCDP
