JOB TITLE: Head of People Operations
About the position:
PlanetX is looking for a Head of People who is excited to design and support the rapid growth of a team focused on making a game-changing positive contribution to the world.
We're expanding our passionate and sustainability-minded team, and the Head of People Operation will be critical to making our vision a reality.
In this role, you will:
- Be an early member of the team, with the special opportunity to build a legacy of impactful and engaging people-centric programs within talent acquisition, performance management, learning and development, employee engagement, and talent development.
Responsibilities:
- Identify cultural and workplace trends in order to develop and pilot innovative people programs.
- Help develop and operationalize our company values to ensure that we sustain a diverse, empathetic, and mission-driven culture.
- Be a subject matter expert in HR and organizational growth to provide strategic insight and knowledge that will help the team make informed business decisions.
- Enable leaders to be excellent managers and develop programs to support PlanetX-ers in their Careers.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of HR or People Operations experience in a rapidly changing environment.
- 3+ years of experience of people management experience
- Knowledge of current federal, state, and local labor laws as well as recent changes and trends in employment practices
- Experienced power-user of ATS (Greenhouse, Lever, etc) and HRIS (Zenefits, Gusto, etc.)
- Experience in a rapidly scaling Startup
- Passionate about improving human impacts on the environment and improving the lives of citizens of the planet
- High degree of empathy and a collaborative mindset
- Deep understanding of company vision and strategy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the desire and ability to coach and partner with the entire team and across levels.
