Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
  • 5 years of experience managing Engineering teams
  • Experience in SQL and Python
  • Experience facilitating technical engagements with clients in a manager or individual contributor role


Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA or MS degree in Computer Science or Engineering
  • Experience managing geographically distributed teams with diverse backgrounds (e.g. technology, operations, customer facing) to execute on a shared vision
  • Knowledge of the ad serving industry and Internet technologies

The Customer Solutions Engineering team is responsible for developing innovative, cutting-edge solutions to the business problems faced by the world’s largest advertisers. We work as a critical technical partner for our sales teams where your coding abilities, communication skills, desire to solve complex problems, passion for scale and big data, and business acumen will all be leveraged to develop answers to questions most don’t even know to ask. Your solutions will take many forms, from prototypes and demos to education - all with the technology resources of Google to back it up


You will be responsible for identifying and prioritizing your team's projects. You will see the unique business challenges faced by our largest advertisers, and you will be given the opportunity to develop new solutions or find creative ways to extend and reuse existing solutions. Working across the entire organization, you will have the chance to leverage your wide-ranging experience and skill-set to find the best solution for the customer problems at hand

Additional Information:
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $162,000-$257,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of Customer Solutions Engineers partnering with Engagement Managers and Ad Solution Architects who work alongside sales, in direct relationship with major advertisers
  • Build and manage relationships to promote business growth focused on Google Marketing Platform and Programmatic and Cloud related integrations
  • Develop plans, design and refine services to support customer needs, and gather buy-in from executive sales stakeholders using quantitative analysis, industry research, and advertiser feedback
  • Work with gTech Customer Experience team and other gTech organizations to resolve situations in customer relationship management that have significant impact to the execution of customer objectives, ensuring that critical advertiser needs are met in a time-sensitive fashion
  • Understand and advocate for initiatives across Google Ad Stack to sales leadership from Specialist teams, Global Support, and Product Operations
