Head Start Classroom Specialist – Platteville

The Head Start program of the Southwestern Wisconsin Community Action Program is looking for a Classroom Specialist in our Platteville, Wisconsin, classroom. If you want to feel the rewards of helping kids learn and grow, and have fun at the same time, this may be the job for you.

This is a full-time job, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Starting pay rate for the Classroom Specialist is $14.41 per hour or higher depending on your qualifications. Sign-on and retention bonuses are available.

As a Classroom Specialist, you’ll work with Head Start classroom leads to plan, implement, and carry-out lesson plans and related development activities. You’ll help kids learn to read, paint pictures with them, sing songs together, and, yes, wipe up some spilled milk from time to time, and help kids to the potty.

The Head Start Classroom Specialist position requires:

High school diploma or equivalent

Certificate as a Childhood Development Associate or the ability to obtain within 30 days of hire – we help you with this
