Job Description:
Dan Williams Company is currently seeking qualified candidates for Project Engineer in our El Paso location. Projects primarily consist of heavy highway construction with activities including earthwork, SWPPP, erosion control, bridges, clearing, access roads, and clearing. Looking for Project Engineers to plan, develop, coordinate, and manage onsite construction engineering activities for large, extensive projects.

Requirements:
Four year engineering, construction management degree or equivalent combinations of technical
training or field experience.
Minimum of 2 years similar construction engineering experience.
Advanced knowledge of construction engineering technology, codes and standards.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Supply own work vehicle.

Duties:
Track project quantities and generate project billings.
Initiate and negotiate change orders.
Develop project work plans and manage work schedules.
Manage submittal data
Manage material purchase orders
Secure project subcontracts and control project costs by approving expenditures; administering
subcontractor contracts including approving subcontract payments
Assist field personnel in any capacity to handle any problems that may arise
Help coordinate subcontractors in the field
Work with project superintendents on ways to perform work more effectively
Project quality control
Track equipment utilization
Attend preconstruction meetings
Assist in finding material and subs for jobs being bid, quantity take-off’s
Meet with owners to inquire about upcoming projects
Ensure weekly safety meetings are held
Work with safety department on safety plans

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $59,069.61 - $114,419.00 per year
