A long-established Sacramento-area healthcare provider specializing in hospice and palliative care, and named as a BEST PLACE TO WORK, is looking for a seasoned Help Desk Technician. The ideal candidate will be a critical thinker with excellent communication and customer service skills. Experience working with Netsmart and providing day-to-day support/triage assistance with equipment, software, and hardware is a plus. Competitive salary and excellent benefits.

Job Summary

Provides a range of technology support for the agency, including software, hardware and office machines. Provides focused support for Netsmart users – both clinical and administrative users. Assists with set-up of new technology equipment and maintains equipment inventory.

Essential Responsibilities

Technology & Software

· Provides day-to-day support/triage assistance with equipment, software, hardware and facilities at main office and at cubbies

· Provides expert support for Netsmart users – clinical and administrative – for both the use of the program and the clinical application

· Updates laptops as required by Netsmart upgrades or technology changes

· Sets up new equipment/laptops and maintains an accurate equipment inventory

Secondary Responsibilities

· Assists IT with projects as requested

· Sets-up technology for meetings as needed

· Performs other related job duties as assigned by Supervisor

Compliance

· Ensures all HIPAA Privacy and Security Regulations, Medicare Conditions of Participation, and all other regulatory/compliance requirements are understood and followed

Requirements

Education/Experience

· Two years of college preferred

· Experience with data base management

· Experience providing tech support

· Misys or Raiser’s Edge experience preferred

Skills Required

· Excellent computer skills, including knowledge of hardware and networks

· Ability to multi-task

· Excellent interpersonal skills

Certifications, Licenses, Registrations

  • Pass OIG/GSA review and all required background checks

Physical Demands

  • Strength to lift and carry materials up to 25 pounds
  • Vision to read printed materials and a computer screen
  • Hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone

Work Environment/Environmental

  • Must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $30.22 per hour
