Position: IT Help Desk/Hardware Support (2 Positions)

Salary Range: $32,948 – $42,176

Position Description: User support and customer service on company supported computer applications and platforms. Troubleshoot problems and advise on the appropriate action.
Responsibilities:
- Support all employees of Eastpointe by helping diagnose and resolving hardware, software, telephone and peripheral component issues
- Performs required research and develops solutions using all available information resources
- Communicates solution or advise of additional tasks needed to resolve issue. Needs to effectively communicate using phone and email
- Must understand and follow standard help desk procedures
- Must track and log all help desk interactions within the help desk ticketing program
- May administer help desk software and develop reports to monitor and track outstanding issues and develop reports to identify trends
- If necessary will need to direct problems to appropriate resource
- Ability to identify and escalate issues or tickets requiring urgent attention
- Ability to prepare activity reports
- Must stay current with system information, changes and updates
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Knowledge of computers and related information technology devices. Ability to communicate effectively with clients who may not be coherent in clarifying problem situations. Ability to work under considerable time constraints and other demands. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
Education/Experience/Licensure:
1. Minimum Education: Graduation from high school and four years of experience in the use of computing and information technology resources; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
2. Preferred Education: Associate’s Degree in computer science or related field and 2 or more years of progressively responsible work experience in an IT development department, preferably in a healthcare or managed care environment which provided the opportunity to gain the knowledge and skills required to perform the duties of the position.
3. Preferred Certifications: MCDST - Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician or MCST - Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist
