HOSPITALITY AND TOURISM TEACHER

Anticipated opening for the 23-24 school year

POSITION:

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Bachelor’s degree and 3 + years’ work experience as a teacher, trainer, or hospitality, additional certification (e.g. in Education or Hospitality)

2. CTE Certification in Hospitality and Tourism Management

3. Demonstrated knowledge of subject specialty and effective teaching methods

4. Ability to maintain a positive learning environment

5. Strong interpersonal and communication skills

6. Meet the health qualifications required of all personnel

7. Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status

8. Current residency in New Jersey, approved residency waiver or candidate agrees to obtain residency within one year of employment

JOB DESCRIPTION: To develop, plan, and instruct daily lessons that engage and motivate the students to learn and exhibit excellent customer service skills. A component of this position includes developing and overseeing work-based learning opportunities in our newly renovated school based 7 room hotel, 250 seat conference center and 100 seat café.
