Job Title: Lead Host
Reports To: Front of House Manager
Job Classification: Hourly
Position Overview: To engage each and every Guest in our spirit of hospitality and provide them with a unique dining experience while maintaining company standards and brand integrity.
Responsibilities:
- Take full responsibility for the Guest experience and anticipate the Guest’s needs and wants.
- Consistently maintain the Redstone image through proper dress code standards and personal hygiene practices.
- Greet each Guest promptly and with genuine enthusiasm as they enter and sincerely thank each Guest as they depart. Handle all Guest requests to the best of your ability.
- Be proactive when seating Guests, have a plan prior to their arrival in order to expedite the process.
- Demonstrate knowledge of the menu, hours of operation and general Redstone specific information.
- Accurately take, enter and deliver the Guests to-go orders.
- Properly handle cash and credit card transactions.
- Hold a high level of integrity.
- Complete all assigned side work, opening and closing duties.
- Quote accurate wait times and effectively handle a wait.
- Answer the phone with an energy that the caller can feel.
- Maintain an appropriate pace and friendly dialogue with the Guest while seating them.
- Continuously check and maintain the quality and cleanliness of the menus, restrooms and entryway.
- Ability to recognize symptoms of intoxication.
- Communicate effectively and appropriately with all associates and Managers within the restaurant.
- Appreciate the importance of the role each associate plays in creating an experience for the Guest. Continually look for opportunities to support members of the team who are taking care of the Guest.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and recognize when you may need help.
- Maintain an attitude that is positive and infectious while at work or speaking about Redstone.
Required Skills, Sense of urgency
Knowledge and Strong desire to do whatever it takes in regards to the Guest’s experience.
Abilities: Perceptive to the Guest and their needs and wants.
- Ability to work positively with all associates within the restaurant.
- Thorough understanding of the menu.
- Ability to multi-task while taking care of the Guest’s needs and maintaining composure.
- Strong communication skills and an outgoing personality.
- The ability to read and comprehend written materials and perform simple math computations.
Required Previous restaurant experience beneficial, however not required.
Experience: Experience in an environment of Guest relations preferred.
