HOST – PART TIME

Wilson Creek Winery is a family-owned winery in the heart of Temecula Valley Southern California Wine Country known for its quality wines and warm hospitality. The winery features a welcoming tasting room, full-service restaurant with vineyard view dining and expansive patio, creek side picnic area, indoor and outdoor conference and event spaces, romantic wedding venue and exclusive retreat accommodations.

Wilson Creek Winery & Vineyards is currently looking for a part-time Host in Temecula, CA.

POSITION SUMMARY: *

Under general supervision, provides prompt, enthusiastic and courteous Host service to Creekside Grille Guests.

QUALIFICATIONS: *

Must be 18 years of age or older.

• Must have Oral and Written proficiency in the English language.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure and stressful situations.
• High energy level required.
• Able to smile and be gracious through any situation.
• Respect diversity in the workplace and amongst guests.
• Able to obtain a Riverside County Food Handlers Card.
• Maintain LEADS training every two years.

Adhere to all company policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines and training programs.

• Responsible to verify through requesting identification from all guests ordering alcoholic beverages are at least 21 years of age. Only one drink per guest may be served at a time. Responsible to make independent judgment when to notify on duty manager if a guest is intoxicated and should no longer be served alcohol.
• Answers the phone while smiling, with a polite and pleasant voice using professional verbiage. Takes restaurant reservations, maintains waiting list and seating availability in accordance with Creekside Grille standards.
• Meet, greet, seat and interact in a positive way with Creekside Grille guests.
• Keeps work area and podium clean, organized and stocked with necessary tools.
• Presents a clean and professional appearance at all times. Maintains a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times
• Attends all pre-shift and departmental meetings.
• Maintains cleanliness standards in the restaurant, wait stations and kitchen service areas.
• Performs and completes all opening, closing and running side work, as well as any that is required or deemed necessary by management.
• Reports to work on time, in full uniform ready to begin work. Uniform to include proper clothing, OSHA approved shoes, name badge, hair tied back if necessary, etc.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk during the entire shift other than breaks and meal periods. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be working in typical conditions restaurant kitchen with equip such as walk in refrigeration units, commercial ovens, stove tops and grills. Prep stations to include working with knifes and other possibly dangerous kitchen utensils and appliances. Noise level is usually moderate. Employees may encounter wet floors and extreme temperatures.
